Our mission is to freely share what we discovered, when striving for environmental sustainability, with others so that everyone who uses it will benefit and, collectively, we will serve our environment and communities.
The founders of Catching Green decided to apply their experience and convictions to make a difference to the environment and to their communities. They met as employees of Patient News Publishing, a leading dental newsletter provider, where they served on the environmental team.
The team’s mandate was to develop and implement policies and procedures to make the company environmentally sustainable in a cost effective manner. Over two years of continuous improvements to the company’s practices, using environmental products, methods and policies, created much success including the reduction of the company’s environmental footprint and a prestigious Environmental award.
All of the research and development that went into the team’s initiatives is templated and shared on the website so that any other company or individual can easily pick up the work instruction and follow it through to realize their own environmental success story. The University of Trent ULinks project paired students with Catching Green to provide the latest and best in class research which is embedded in the templates to provide the best practices, products, and methods.
Catching Green started with a body of General Business environmental initiatives and then grew legs into different industry sectors. The plan is to continue expansion with the knowledge and experience to be provided by a growing membership. As members share their success stories the wheel will turn faster and the word will travel further until a movement is created whereby everything a company does is viewed through the lens of environmental sustainability.
